How To Play

PLAY to WIN one of 16 prizes worth over $2000 in the GBA BUZZ Scavenger Hunt. EARN additional coupons and rewards for answering questions correctly.

  1. Visit the following booths in the RootsTech Expo Hall:

    • Your DNA Guide
  2. Find the QR code sign in each booth and either scan the code or visit the web address underneath it on your phone or tablet.

  3. Enter your name and email address to create an account to track your progress.

  4. Answer a question about the exhibitor’s business. Many questions will be discovered as you talk with an exhibitor’s representatives, but you may be able to find some answers by simply exploring their booth.

  5. Move on to the next exhibitor on the list and repeat the Scavenger Hunt process.

As you work your way through the scavenger hunt, you can share your progress on social media using the social share buttons from the app. Challenge your genealogy buddies and race to see who can finish first!

Once you’ve visited each of the 16 participating businesses you will be entered to win one of 16 grand prizes!

After answering a question correctly, some exhibitors will offer you instant rewards on the correct answer screen. Depending on the type of reward, you’ll also receive an email. If you want to access the Instant Reward again, simply re-scan the QR code for their booth and it’ll pop right back up.

Tune In

The GBA.BUZZ Giveaway prizes will be awarded during a live stream on Monday, March 5th at 12 PM CST (11 AM MDT) on the Family History Fanatics YouTube channel. If you miss the live stream, you can always watch the replay.

Winners will be contacted by the companies sponsoring their prizes after the drawing. Exchange of prizes will be the responsibility of those individual companies.
